Over a third of the participants at Regional Equity '08 were part of delegations sponsored by a foundation or a corporation. Their presence contributed to the diversity, intellectual depth, and strategic vision that was a major factor to the excitement and energy throughout the summit. Traveling as part of a delegation allowed these participants to have access to a rich network of practitioners and the opportunity to share experiences, build relationships, and identify partnership opportunities which they have continued to explore since returning back to their communities.
